Mr McAlister, who has more than 20 years experience within the oil and gas industry and is a former director of Dominion Gas, said: “Sureclean has already established itself as a major player in the offshore cleaning, waste management and surface preparation markets and I am delighted to be a part of the team moving the business on to the next level.” Other recent appointments include Lachlan Mackay as health and safety manager, Bill MacDonald as HR manager and Richard McDonald as business development manager North Africa. John Barron managing director of Sureclean said: “Paul joins us at an exciting time in the growth of our business. There is strong interest in our services from several international markets and I am confident that Paul’s internationalisation experience will add to our continued success.” Sureclean is a leading provider of specialist waste management and environmental safety solutions to the global oil and gas, utilities and civil industries. The company specialises in high pressure water jetting, vacuum transfer and pumping solutions and asbestos management and removal.
Sureclean employs more than 100 staff across its five sites in the UK and Norway including; two sites north of Aberdeen at Blackdog and Whitecairns, two sites at Alness on the Cromarty Firth and Sureclean AS, a wholly owned sister company trading since April 2009 in Stavanger, Norway. The Sureclean Group reported a turnover of £10.8million in 2009.
