 Case Study: Ensco 92 Drilling Rig Tank Cleaning

During a scheduled shipyard visit amongst other planned activities there was an inital requirement to clean, remove the degraded existing coating and apply a new style soft coating (Clearkin Corrosion Master) to the internals of 2 x pre-load tanks with the aim of extending the tanks service life. This scope was then extended to include blasting and recoating of the additional mud pits, base oil and brine tanks. This necessitated the overall manning levels to increase from 6 to 10 and once completed this furthermore lead to Sureclean being awarded the project of UHP blasting and painting of the Cantilever deck.
