Sureclean On Course to End 2010 On a High
After being announced as finalists for three prestigious business awards, Sureclean is in the running for success in this year's Vision in
Business for the Environment of Scotland (VIBES) and NOF Energy Awards,
whilst finishing as runners-up at the 2010 Scottish Green Awards last
month.
The annual VIBES awards, which aim to raise awareness of environmental and sustainable development issues within businesses in Scotland, have named Sureclean as finalists in the Best Process category. Now in their eleventh year, the awards also act as a participating feeder scheme for the European Business Awards for the Environment.
John Barron, managing director of Sureclean, said: "It is a great achievement for Sureclean to be recognised by the VIBES Awards for our commitment to environmental best practice and we are delighted to be shortlisted for the Process Award 2010.
"This will provide a boost to our workforce and further highlights our dedication to developing new solutions in order to protect natural resources, and to finding environmentally-sensitive and efficient treatments that really work".
Alan Farquhar, VIBES chair, said: "Sureclean has shown great commitment to their environmental initiatives and is making financial savings through reduced resource use".
Sureclean has also been shortlisted for NOF Energy's Innovation and Technology Award, which is given to the organisation that has proactively encouraged innovation and the use of new technology to drive their business forward.
At the end of September the company was announced as runner-up in the 2010 Scottish Green Awards in the category of Best Green SME, where Sureclean was complimented for their efforts in reducing their carbon footprint, as well as for developing environmentally sensitive solutions for their clients.
