As one of the foremost specialist industrial cleaning and environmental waste management companies in Scotland, Sureclean continues to expand its service capabilities through a programmed investment in excess of £1.8 million.
Announcing this major, key investment John Barron, Managing Director said "We listened to our clients' views and carefully considered their needs before embarking on a detailed design specification programme with Calder Limited, the leading provider of High and Ultra-High Pressure pumping equipment and accessories in the UK. The combination of Surecleans front-line delivery coupled with Calder's undoubted technological expertise and skills in high-/ultra high-pressure equipment has resulted in the production of units which will optimise operations, set up and maintenance - to the benefit of all clients in all business sectors."
"This self-design has allowed us to incorporate some significant improvements as compared with off-the-shelf units. For example the pumps can be converted from 1000 up to 4000 bar using a simple conversion kit which can be fitted in less than 1 hour, thus providing maximum versatility of the equipment."
"Additionally, the Hammelmann patented friction-free labyrinth plunger packing seals fitted in each of the pump units offer significant improvement, in terms of reliability, over ‘traditional' plunger packing seals. This will improve operational timeframes with gradual wear characteristics allowing further improvement to maintenance planning and reducing the occurrence of emergency repairs" John added.
"This investment enables us to control and maintain the equipment to our high inhouse standards providing improved reliability, flexibility and safety for our clients operations. Our equipment inventory is now second to none in terms of operational range, flexibility and responsiveness."
"We are in the process of recruiting some 10 additional engineers/operators further enhancing our delivery and response capabilities."
"Sureclean continues to drive ahead with our strategies to further enhance our service capabilities, continue our drive for continuous improvement across all operations and increase both the scale and revenue-generating capacity of our operations in the UK and overseas. We invested around £1M in 2007 and will invest a total of £2.5M in 2008 - including this pumping equipment. Our people, management systems, equipment inventory and service portfolios have all been enhanced in the last two years and this latest investment is proof positive of our ambitions for the future of Sureclean".
