During a scheduled shipyard visit amongst other planned activities there was a requirement to remove the tired existing coating and apply a new style coating (Eureka Fluid Film Gel BW) to the internals of a pre-load tank with the aim of extending the tanks service life.
Sureclean Scope
Provide manpower and equipment for the removal of the tired existing
coating and apply the new coating in compliance with manufacturer’s
guidelines.
Technical Challenge
Implementing a safe system of work and ensuring that the internal tank
surface area was prepared to an appropriate standard prior to
application of the new coating.

Additional Information
Not only did Sureclean successfully achieve the project deliverables
associated with the pre-load tanks we were able to provide a safe
resolution to a non related asbestos issue located within the engine
room which was impacting upon other works. Fortuitously for our client,
Sureclean’s ethos of having and providing trained ‘multi-disciplined’
personnel provided a timely and cost effective solution.
