New Business Development Director takes Sureclean business onward and upward

Sureclean recently welcomed Paul McAlister onboard in the capacity of Business Development Director.

Paul assumes corporate responsibility for identifying and delivering new business aligned to the business plan and growth aspirations.

Paul brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in both the domestic and international oil and gas industry; a core area for the development of the business.

The latest in a series of appointments designed to strengthen the senior management team, Mr McAlister’s focus will be continued expansion in the UK and Norway and establishing the business in North Africa, West Africa, Singapore and Gulf of Mexico.  

Mr McAlister, who has more than 20 years experience within the oil and gas industry and is a former director of Dominion Gas, said: “Sureclean has already established itself as a major player in the offshore cleaning, waste management and surface preparation markets and I am delighted to be a part of the team moving the business on to the next level.”

Other recent appointments include Lachlan Mackay as health and safety manager, Bill MacDonald as HR manager and Richard McDonald as business development manager North Africa.

Sureclean is a leading provider of specialist waste management and environmental safety solutions to the global oil and gas, utilities and civil industries. The company specialises in high pressure water jetting, vacuum transfer and pumping solutions and asbestos management and removal.

 Sureclean employs more than 100 staff across its five sites in the UK and Norway including; two sites north of Aberdeen at Blackdog and Whitecairns, two sites at Alness on the Cromarty Firth and Sureclean AS, a wholly owned sister company trading since April 2009 in Stavanger, Norway. 

The Sureclean Group reported a turnover of £10.8million in 2009.
